Privacy....all is lost but not forgotten

Welcome fellow head spinners! If you have landed here, then you too are a self thinking, or at least questioning individual. This is the supplement, if you will, to my Podcast, Vertigo. Thank you for joining me!

I recently posted a pod cast (I'll leave the link at the bottom) on a NBC News story I had read on Apple News. Basically, there is a suspected murder and the prosecuting DA asked for the audio logs from the homes Alexa. The ever popular Amazon product that controls alot of our homes. For those who aren't aware, Alexa, even when "sleeping" is still "listening." In fact, not only listening, but recording!

I have a serious issue with this. As an IT professional, I know that the device is not truly off. If it were, it would not be able to "hear" "Hey, Alexa" and then wake to your command. The fact that it is recording though....wow!
